Adobe Creative Suites or Creative Cloud. Adobe Illustrator is preferred, but we do accept InDesign, Photoshop, and Quark files. PDF files may be sent, but please ensure they are saved with editing capabilities preserved.
Please provide all fonts and support files, such as photography and imported graphics. Photoshop files should be 300 dpi at 100% print size. Please avoid compressing layers in Photoshop files.
Files may be emailed to our art department.
You may also provide your art on a portable USB drive, CD, or DVD.
Large files can be uploaded using an FTP site. Please contact us for more information.
Please create text in vector format. Text created in Photoshop or any other raster-based program can have jagged or fuzzy edges.
Positive text should be no smaller than 3 points. Small text should be built out of one solid color. Screened text will not print cleanly, and can be difficult to read, particularly with small text.
Reverse text should be no smaller than 5 points. If possible, avoid reversing text out of more than one color. If text must be reversed out of 2 or more colors, it may be necessary to add a solid stroke or outline to the text.
For all gradient and four color process work, the minimum dot is 4%. Gradients with a soft graduation down to 0% can end in a hard line. Drop shadows should be built out of black only, and not four color process.
Flexo printing requires trapping to compensate for misregistration on the printing press. Please do not trap files. Atlanta Label will be responsible for setting all traps.
After artwork is set, Atlanta Label will email you a PDF proof for review and approval.
